APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a TAI is defined at both the global and security domain
    level, removing the TAI from the security domain level in the
    admin console GUI causes it to be removed from the global
    level.

Local fix

  • Use the AdminTask.unconfigureInterceptor command rather than
    the ISC GUI

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application *
    * Server using the adminconsole to manage *
    *                  security domains.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When removing a TAI, it was always *
    * removed from the global level, not *
    * the correct domain level. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The console did not specify the domain level when removing a
    TAI, so it was always removed from the global level.

Problem conclusion

  • The console code was changed to supply the domain name (if
    there was one) for a TAI when it is being removed.
