Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS * * and IBM Tools Customizer for z/OS. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The following enhancements are * * delivered: * * * * - The following input fields are * * now supported/enabled on the LOAD * * Utility Options panel ADB2UTC * * 'Specify Utility Options - LOAD': * * * * ERRDDN . . (DD name for error * * processing) * * DISCARDDN (DD name for * * discarded records) * * DISCARDS . (0 to * * 2147483647) * * * * - DB2 Administration Tool now has the * * ability to override attributes * * TRACKMOD and DATA CAPTURE using the * * Generate (GEN), Work Statement List * * (WSL) , Multi-target changes, Export * * changes, and Change Management (CM) * * Import functions with masking for * * objects tablespaces and tables. * * * * - The DB2 Administration Tool GEN * * function now has the ability to * * include new schema SYSIBMADM in the * * CURRENT PATH when generating DDL for * * objects Views, Triggers, Masks, * * Permissions, Procedures and Functions. * * * * - A change with no change statements * * is currently considered an Incomplete * * change which is set to INITIAL status * * when registered. Such a change can * * not be analyzed, run or recovered. * * * * - The Change management function * * is enhanced to add the ability to * * REGISTER, ANALYZE, RUN and RECOVER * * an empty change. * * * * - The DDL converter does not have * * the newly introduced schema name * * SYSIBMADM as a default path. * * * * - The UPGRADE option for the Change * * Management Database task has been * * enhanced to generate a job template * * ADBMCMA that will upgrade back-level * * DB2 Administration Tool objects to * * the current maintenance level. * * * * The UPGRADE job template ADBMCMA * * also has provisions to tolerate * * possible SQLCODE = -601 / * * SQLCODEN601, SQLCODE = -612 / * * SQLCODEN612, or SQLCODE = 562 / * * SQLCODE562 errors and not fail with * * RC=8 / RC8 when these SQLCODEs are * * encountered. The absence of the schema SYSIBMADM from the default path can result in failures. - The UPGRADE option for the Change Management Database task has been enhanced to generate a job template ADBMCMA that will upgrade back-level DB2 Administration Tool objects (including Change Management) to the current maintenance level. The UPGRADE job template ADBMCMA also has provisions to tolerate possible SQLCODE = -601 / SQLCODEN601, SQLCODE = -612 / SQLCODEN612, or SQLCODE = 562 / SQLCODE562 errors and not fail with RC=8 / RC8 when these SQLCODEs are encountered. Instead, a brief/simple informational message ADB51791I / msgadb51791i will be displayed in the job output. - The MERGE module uses hard coded messages without error numbers. It does not assist users with troubleshooting. - Users are allowed to go to the utility parameter option panel but are not allowed to modify REORG INDEX parameters during Change Management processing. - Users are allowed to go to the utility parameter option panel but are not allowed to modify REORG INDEX parameters during ALT command processing. - Users can not control data set attributes during CM Batch processing for the IFF, CHG, DELTA, DDL, SRCVF, TGTVF, and MTC file. - The special registers CURRENT TEMPORAL BUSINESS_TIME and CURRENT TEMPORAL SYSTEM_TIME are now being saved when set in a DB2 Admin session and restored when a DB2 Admin session is started again. - Changes to FUNCTION and PROCEDURE options BUSINESS_TIME SENSITIVE and SYSTEM_TIME SENSITIVE were not supported by the DB2 Object Comparison Tool. The following has been fixed: - Using ALT command or using Compare will sometimes produce duplicate REBIND statements.

Temporary fix
Comments
Problems have been resolved. Duplicate REBIND statements will no longer occur. Enhancements delivered: - Error range ADB8001E to ADB8032E are converted from hard-coded messages. - Enhancement delivered to allow users to control data set attributes for the IFF, CHG, DELTA, DDL, SRCVF, TGTVF, and MTC file.
