Error description

  • When a BMP is paused by ORF BMP pause feature, the last
    checkpoint ID is not returned on XRST call on restart.

    When a BMP is paused by the BMP pause feature of ORF, the last
    checkpoint ID is not returned on the XRST call at the beginning
    of the restarted BMP.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR corrects the BMP pauser to give the last checkpoint ID
    to the region controller on BMP restart.
    This APAR also modifies the takeover process to reduce the
    access to temporary RECON data sets when no change records are
    applied to shadow database in the Apply phase.
