When using WSL to execute the LOAD utility, the job fails with
    the following error message:

DSNU1029I DSNUGDFL - INVALID KEYWORD SPACE FOR TAPE TEMPLATE.

Problem conclusion

  • Problem has been resolved.

    - If the user-defined templates WORKDDN, MAPDDN and ERRDDN
are on removable media, there is no need to add the SPACE
    keyword.

    - The template table needs to be updated to add the new column
DEVTYPE. The user can use the 'UT - Utility selections'
command on panel ADB25 'Utility generation using LISTDEFs
and TEMPLATEs' to update the user-defined template table.

    - Panel ADB25TE 'Utility Template' is updated to add new field
'Device type' to identify whether the UNIT is on a removable
    device:

    Common options:
      UNIT . . . . . (Device number, type or group name)
Device type . (DASD or TAPE, default is DASD)

The following text is added on Help panel ADBH5TE 'HELP:
    Utility Template':

'If the template will be created on removable media, then
specify 'TAPE' in the 'Device type' field.'

    - If the user does not use a user-defined template but uses a
system default template, the user need to add the '--#TEMPLATE'
comment statement in the WSL manually. For example, if MAPDDN
template is defined, add the '--#TEMPLATE' comment statement:

    --#TEMPLATE UTLMAP TYPE(TAPE)
    TEMPLATE UTLMAP DSN 'SYSADM.XXX.T001'
    UNIT TAPE

    - New parameters are added for the Change Management Batch
    (CM Batch) interface:

    util_template_workdd1_devtype
    The util_template_workdd1_devtype parameter specifies
whether WORKDDN1 template is on removable media
    or DASD device.
    Values:
    TAPE, DASD, blank
    TAPE removable media device
    DASD DASD device
    Default:
    blank

    util_template_workdd2_devtype
    The util_template_workdd2_devtype parameter specifies
whether WORKDDN2 template is on removable media or
    DASD device.
    Values:
    TAPE, DASD, blank
    TAPE removable media device
    DASD DASD device
    Default:
    blank

    util_template_mapddn_devtype
    The util_template_mapddn_devtype parameter specifies
whether MAPDDN template is on removable media or
    DASD device.
    Values:
    TAPE, DASD, blank
    TAPE removable media device
    DASD DASD device
    Default:
    blank

    util_template_errddn_devtype
    The util_template_errddn_devtype parameter specifies
whether ERRDDN template is on removable media or
    DASD device.
    Values:
    TAPE, DASD, blank
    TAPE removable media device
    DASD DASD device
    Default:
    blank
