PI17672: ABEND0C4 DURING THE TAKEOVER PHASE BUT RECOVERS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The following HALDB TOOLKIT Maintain job got a S0C4 around the
  takeover phase but recovered from it and completed with a return
  code of 0000.

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CONVERT and MAINTAIN functions can      *
  *                      cause ABENDS0C4 in IHCYILIU0 when IMS   *
  *                      Library Integrity Utilities (LIU)       *
  *                      library is concatenated to the STEPLIB. *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF      *
  ****************************************************************
  When LIU library is concatenated to the STEPLIB with CONVERT and
  MAINTAIN functions, HALDB Toolkit uses SCDDLIDM to locate DDIR
  of the master DB. However, IMS code was changed such that
  SCDDLIDM does not always point to the master DB.
  Concequently, ABENNDS0C4 in IHCYLIU0 can occur.
  

Problem conclusion

• IHCYLIU0 has been changed to use SCDDLIDC instead of SCDDLIDM
  to locate DDIR of the master DB.
