Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: "CSQX053E CSQXFFST Error information * * recorded in CSQSNAP data set" * * is issued when starting a svrconn * * channel with sharecnv>0, and an error * * occurs during channel start up. * * The FFST in the CSQSNAP DD indicates * * an error in rrmSubSpecial1. * * In some cases the FFST can be * * accompanied by an abend 0C4 in CSQXCCAX * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During startup of a svrconn channel with sharecnv>0, rriAcceptSess detected an error, and channel startup failed. When freeing control blocks associated with the terminating channel, with the PTF for PI05308 applied a call is made to cciEndConv to free the conversation control block, however an error in the parameters passed on the call prevent the expected conversation block being found. This is unexpected, and CSQXFFST is called to produce an FFST. The FFST incorrectly indicates it was produced by rrmSubSpecial1 rather than cciRemoveConv.
Problem conclusion
The parameters passed to cciEndConv have been corrected, preventing the FFST being issued. FFSTs issued by cciRemoveConv have also been changed to correctly indicate this routine as the origin of the FFST. 100Y CMQXRMSA CSQXCCAX
