Error description

  • CQM2002E MONITORING AGENT INSTALLATION FAILED FOR SUBSYSTEM
This APAR addresses a small exposure that can occur when the DB2
DIST address space is up but not fully operational, causing an
error in the CQM monitor verification routine.

Local fix

  • The recommended work around is to go into the CQM ISPF interface
and select option  "6. Work with Monitoring Agents"  to manually
activate the Monitoring Agent on any DB2 where CQM failed with
the CQM2002E immediately after DB2 startup.
