    ****************************************************************
HPCA creates a PITCA by accumulating only committed changes from
the logs. The new CA data set must have a suffix of '.HPCAP'.
When the accumuation process completes, HPCA uses DBRC to mark
the ca ERR by a CHANGE.CA INVALID command. DBRC then transposes
the RUNTIME and the STOPTIME of the CA record. This may cause
existing CA records to be deleted.

Problem conclusion

  • A recent DBRC APAR now supports a NOTIFY.CA PITCA command. The
CA record created is marked ERR and PITCA and the RUNTIME and
STOPTIME are not transposed. HPCA is changed to use this command
when doing a PITCA. This change fixes the problem of CA records
    being deleted.
    .
This does not change any externals but the IMS High Performance
Change Accumulation Utility User's Guide has been updated to
    reflect this orocess.
    .
Note. This APAR requires a DBRC APAR. APARs PI16569 (V12.1) and
    PI16571 (V13.1) are required.
