Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' WSL APPLY job from
    COMPARE process discards rows during the DB2 LOAD utility
    when detecting multiple changes in TABLE definition
    The DB2 LOAD will show:
    DSNU310I  ssid  DSNURCON - RECORD (n) WILL BE DISCARDED
    DUE TO 'column'  CONVERSION ERROR FOR schema.table  ERROR CODE
    '04  - INPUT PACKED DECIMAL IS IN ERROR'

    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for     *
    *                 z/OS and DB2 Object Comparison Tool for      *
    *                 z/OS who make a change to the table by       *
    *                 deleting columns and adding new columns.     *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The APPLY job from the Compare process  *
    *                      discards rows during the DB2 LOAD       *
    *                      utility processing when there are       *
    *                      multiple columns being deleted from     *
    *                      and added into the table.  The problem  *
    *                      happens because the LOAD control        *
    *                      statement generated by the product      *
    *                      has incorrect POSITION settings for     *
    *                      the new columns in the field            *
    *                      specification.  The DB2 LOAD utility    *
    *                      output will show:                       *
    *                                                              *
    *                      DSNU310I  ssid  DSNURCON -              *
    *                      RECORD (n) WILL BE DISCARDED            *
    *                      DUE TO 'column'  CONVERSION             *
    *                      ERROR FOR schema.table                  *
    *                      ERROR CODE '04  - INPUT                 *

    The APPLY job from the Compare process discards rows during the
    DB2 LOAD utility processing when there are multiple columns
    being deleted from and added into the table.
