PI14795: MISLEADING REPORT GENERATED WHEN A QCF LOAD WITHOUT PACING BATCHJOB DID NOT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE AFTER AN IMS CRASH

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a QCF LOAD without pacing batch job did not successfully
  complete as result of IMS being cancelled or ABENDed, QCF
  message IQC2503I is sent with the number of messages being
  loaded.                                           MSGIQC2503I
  This report/information is misleading because it implies that
  some of the messages were "successfully" processed, when all it
  it really shows is how many messages have been passed to IMS,
  but have not committed yet.

  *                      message has been added in addition      *
  *                      to the report to notify that            *
  *                      no messages passed to IMS have been     *
  *                      committed and the counts are not        *
  *                      accurate.                               *

  To have the new message and warning message
  displayed in report in the case of non-pacing
  and IMS abends, install the PTF
