    CODE (1C) AND REASON CODE (CA) WHICH ARE NOT DEFINED
    which is followed by message
    HKT2424E Sensor Data Repository INIT function failed.
    RC=48/RS=01
    with no explanation of return code and reason code in the
    manual.

Problem summary

    *                 (PGM=HKTRINIT) to initialize                 *
    *                 IMS Tools KB repositories.                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The HKTJRINT job was producing HKT2416E *
    *                      and HKT2424E messages in a format that  *
    *                      did not match their users guide         *
    *                      documentation.                          *
    *                                                              *
    *                      Several commonly occuring return and    *
    *                      reson codes associated with these       *
    *                      messages were not documented.           *
    *                                                              *
    *                      Some messages issued by HKTJRINT were   *
    *                      misleading or incomplete.               *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Some messages issued by the HKTJRINT contained incomplete and
    misleading content.  Some of these did not match their
    documented descriptions. The messages did not always accurately
    reflect function completion status.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Messages issued by the HKTJRINT job were examined for
    correctness. Several messages were restructured.  Associated
    documentation was updated. Common return and reason codes
    were documented.
    
    New messages HKT2473I and HKT2474I were added to clarify
    processing status.
    
    Message changes are documented in Chapter 17 of IBM Tools Base
    for z/OS Version 1 Release 4 (SC19-3768-03).  All affected
    messages begin with "HKT24".
    
    Messages updated by this change are generated to SYSOUT.
    No WTOs were updated.
