PI09654: ABEND0C4 IN BCMXRRC0 WHEM BBM IS ACTIVATED BY EXEC PGM=DFSRRC00

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABEND0C4 when BBM returns to AMODE 24 user program when
  BCMRRC00 is linked as DFSRRC00 in user Reslib.

  When Batch Backout Manager is activated from a user program
  running in 24-bit mode, and the activation is done via a
  BALR instruction, an S0C4 abend can result. For this to occur,
  BCMRRC00 would have been linked into a steplib library with
  name DFSRRC00. The link is done, for example, during
  customization using SBCMSAMP library member BCMLRESL,perhaps
  followed by installing the BCMUMxxR usermod.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been modified to correct the above problem.
