PI08973: ABENDU3400 WHEN TRYING TO CREATE A POINT IN TIME CHANGE ACCUMULATION

Error description

• ABENDU3400 when trying to create a Point in Time change
  accumulation running with IMS V12.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of HPCA creating a Point in Time       *
  *                 Change Accimulation data set.                *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: For IMSV12 and IMSV13 users, the Point  *
  *                      in time Change Accumulation function of *
  *                      HPCA would abend on U38400. This is     *
  *                      caused by unsuccessfull validation of   *
  *                      IMS module DFSUCMN0. IMS APAR           *
  *                      maintenance applied to this module was  *
  *                      not included in the module validation   *
  *                      routine in HPCACUM0.                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF      *
  ****************************************************************
  Changes to include the latest maintenance of DFSUCMN0 was
  applied to HPCACUM0 to successfully validate the module when
  used by HPCA Point in Time function.
  

Problem conclusion

• Ims Maintenance for IMSV12 and IMSV13 was included in the
  verification logic for HPCACUM0. The Abend was caused due to our
  of sync maintence between HPCA and IMS module DFSUCMN0. This has
  been corrected.
