Error description
The queue manager terminates with ABEND6C6 00F3040A when an application address space TCB which is connected to the queue-manager ends without issuing an MQDISC, and it is the only TCB with a connection to the queue-manager at this time, and there are other TCBs still active in the application address space.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Queue manager terminates with ABEND6C6 * * 00F3040A. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The problem occurs when an application address space TCB which is connected to the queue-manager ends without issuing an MQDISC, and it is the only TCB with a connection to the queue-manager at this time, and there are other TCBs still active in the application address space. During end-of-task processing for the connected TCB the associated ACE is scheduled for deferred end-of-task processing, which takes place asynchronously in the queue-manager address space. End-of-task processing for the TCB then continues and detects that there are no longer any connected TCBs in the application address space. It then detects that there is outstanding deferred end-of-task processing, and waits a second for it to complete. It then checks to see if there is still deferred end-of-task procressing in progress, and also checks if there are any ACEs still present which are not queued for deferred end-of-task processing, but which are holding a latch or are in 'must-complete' state (i.e. commit or deallocate processing is still taking place). However, at the time this check is performed (by CSQ3SSI2), CSQMDISC (which is invoked during end-of-task processing in the queue-manager address space) has scheduled an SRB to perform some cleanup in the application address space. This results in there now being an ACE on the VLCA system agent chain chain for the application address space which is not queued for deferred end-of-task processing. It may be that this ACE is holding a latch at the time of the check by CSQ3SSI2, in which case the 6C6 00F3040A will occur.
Problem conclusion
CSQMDISC and CSQ3TM00 have been changed so that the SRB invoked to clean up the applied address space uses the same RELATED ACE that is already in deferred END-OF-TASK processing. 100Y CSQMDISC CSQ3TM00
