PI08648: INZU080E SELECT FROM VIEW NOT SUPORTED BECAUSE OF UNDESIRABLE EXTRANEOUS INFORMATION IN THE TEXT OF A VIEW TO BE UNLOADED

Error description

• Because of undesirable extraneous information in the text of a
  view to be unloaded, DB2 HPU can fail after issuing msgINZU080E
  SELECT FROM VIEW NOT SUPORTED. The following enhancement is
  requested to support this situation:
  
  There are unexpected (garbage) characters after the semi colon.
  
  For DB2 9 New Function Mode (NFM), the program should exclude
  the extraneous information in SYSVIEWS.TEXT when unloading the
  data from a view.
  
  For DB2 10 New Function Mode (NFM), the program should exclude
  the extraneous information in SYSVIEWS.STATEMENT when unloading
  the data from a view.

Local fix

• The workaround is to drop and recreate the VIEW without
  "garbage".
  
  To check the view text HPU sees, use the $CTRLZD trace file
  which shows the text of the view handled by HPU as in the
  example message below:
  
   View syntax analysis failed iRc = 0, iError = 8
  
  To set the $CTRLZD trace, add the following DD statement to the
  failing HPU job.
  
   //$CTRLZD    DD  SYSOUT=*
