Error description

• Using the IDz client Remote Systems View to delete a symbolic
  link directory results in both the removal of the symbolic link
  directory as well as the underlying data in the source directory
  pointed to by the symbolic link.  This behavior is not
  consistent when deleting symbolic links via a direct Unix shell
  command.  Using the Unix shell to delete the symbolic link
  results in the removal of the symbolic link only and not the
  underlying data pointed to by the symbolic link.
  

Local fix

• If removal of the symbolic is required then using the Unix shell
  command rm -r would be preferable if the intention is to not
  remove the underlying data pointed to by the symbolic link.
  

Problem summary

• When using RSE to delete a symbolic link to a directory, the
  files and folders under that directory are deleted instead of
  just the symbolic link
