PH61801: ORF CAN GET ABENDS878-10 WHEN IMSDALIB DD IS SPECIFIED AND THE STATUS OF RECON1 IS DISCARDED OR SPARE

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ORF can get ABENDS878-10 with GETMAIN processing of buffers
  when IMSDALIB DD is specified in ORF step and the status of
  RECON1 is DISCARDED or SPARE.
  

Local fix

• The S878 can be avoided by removing IMSDALIB DD and specifying
  the MDALIB in STEPLIB DD.

  This problem occurs when the following conditions are met:
  - MDALIB is specified in IMSDALIB.
  - The status of DBRC RECON1 is SPARE or DISCARDED.
  
  A lot of buffers are allocated below 16M when opening IMSDALIB
  DD.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been changed to reduce number of buffers for IMSDALIB.
