APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When updating an application via admin console, in the Update
    Summary step, if the Finish button is clicked more than once,
    the deployment will fail with below messages:

    to close the archive that is already closed.
    [5/4/24 9:46:48:556] 000005b6 UninstallSche I  ADMA5017I:
    Uninstallation of APP_NAME started.

    Uninstallation of APP_NAME started.
    [5/4/24 9:46:48:605] 000005b6 DefaultWorkCl E  WXDO0004E: The
    work class, Default_JMS_WC, was not found.
    [5/4/24 9:46:48:608] 000005b6 XDUninstallAp E  WXDO9001E:
    Received an unexpected error processing the uninstall for
    application APP_NAME. Exception was WXDO0004E: The work class,
    Default_JMS_WC, was not found.

  • Make sure to click the Finish button only once
    

Problem summary

    If the Finish button on the application installation summary
    page
    is clicked multiple times, the request will be made multiple
    times. The first request will be interrupted by
    the upcoming request(s), which leads to failures in the
    application deployment.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Now users cannot click the Finish button more than once.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
    V8.5.5.26 and V9.0.5.21. For more information, see 'Recommended

Temporary fix

  • Click the Finish button on the application installation summary
    page only once when deploying an application via the admin
    console.
