Error description

  • Shutdown WAS servant took long time after Db2 cancel which was
invoked for disaster recovery test. Normally it takes only a few
minutes to stop WAS, but it took over 30 minutes. There were 2
non-daemon threads remained. One was "DestroyJavaVM helper
thread", the other was "pool-26-thread-1". It makes sense
DestroyJavaVM is waiting all other non-daemon threads
termination. So the thread "pool-26-thread-1" prevented the
    servant termination.

    ****************************************************************
WAS server shutdown is delayed after aborting managed
    connection.
The server termination is prevented by a non-daemon thread.

Problem conclusion

  • The non-daemon thread which is created when abort is called is
    converted to daemon thread.
