PH60434: PROBLEMS IN JOURNAL ARCHIVE UTILITIES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• - If the archive datasets are HSM migrated the cleanup utility
  does not handle them in an appropriate manner.
  - When the an archive job is run and returns cc4 because there
  are no full active journals, if the ARCOUT DD is specified with
  RLSE the dataset is allocated but because it is never opened and
  closed the RLSE has no effect.

Problem conclusion

• 1. CEXJCLN utility is updated to use IDCAMS to delete migrated
     archives. New ARCHCNTL control cards to are added, these are:
  
     MIGVOLS=(volser_lst)        defaults to MIGRAT,ARCIVE
           where the volsers are used to identify when a datset
           has been migrated.
  
     AMSMSGS=NONE,ERROR,ALL      defaults to ERROR
           Indicates which if any of the messages generated by
           invoking IDCAMS should be sent to CEXPRINT.
  
  2. FUNARC01 is corrected.
