APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The CICS region being up for as long as it was and the DB2 being
  restarted results in the array of thread num words growing
  rather than starting from 1 because that array is not being
  cleared out when the CICS-DB2 attach goes into standby.
  
  
  The problem is only seen when CICS does finally shutdown and
  the GLB_STATS_BUFFER_ADDR is no longer valid and the DB2
  unsolicited statistics not being produced.

  It is possible that a CICS region may suffer an abend 0C4 in
  DFHD2CC when CICS is being shutdown. The CICS will have been
  connected to DB2 and probably the CICS region has been active
  for a long time, possibly months, and the DB2 has been recycled
  often.
  The abend is happening because the statistics buffer pointer
  held in DFHD2GLB has been corrupted because the array of Thread
  Numbers has overflowed. The array of Thread Numbers is used to
  provide unique numbers for correlation ids and the array is
  growing after each DB2 recycle.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHD2STP has been changed to clear the Thread Numbers array at
  each DB2 recycle.
