PH59677: RTS PANEL SHOWS INCORRECT INFORMATION FOR ACTIVE PAGES AND MESSAGE ADB255E IS UNDOCUMENTED AND NOT INFORMATIVE ENOUGH

APAR status

Error description

• The RTS line command from panel ADB21S is showing that the
  active page value is the same as ADB21S.  When double-checked
  with the SYSTABLESPACESTATS table it shows that the RTS panel
  ADB2314 is showing the  wrong active page value. Also, when
  users without proper authority then issue the REF line command
  to refresh real-time stats, it fails with message ADB255E.  This
  message is undocumented and also needs to be updated to provide
  better information.

  *                      statistics for a table space. Also,     *

  *                      not informative enough.                 *

  When a user issues line command 'RTS' on a table space that has
  real-time stats, the RTS panel, ADB2314, shows an incorrect
  value for active pages stored in the real-time stats system
  table.  Also, on the RTS panel, a user without Db2 command
  authority issues an REF line command and receives message
  ADB255E:
  
  DB2 IFI error, return code= 8,reason code=00E60820
  
  This message is undocumented and does not tell the user what
  Db2 was doing when error occurred.
  
  Message ADB255E has been updated to include the Db2 command
  that failed. The new version of this message is as follows:
  
  DB2 IFI error, return code= 8, reason code=00E60820, command=
  -ACCESS DATABASE(DSNDB01) SPACENAM(SPT01)  PART(     1)
  MODE(STATS)
