Error description

  • Queue manager reported CSQ0607E, which accompanied with
    CSQ0215E,CSQ0214E and CSQ0607E.
The dumps show subpool 2 key 7 of AMS address space and subpool
229 key 7 of MSTR address space consumed huge ABOVE storage.
The LEDATA heap exception report shows that the majority of the
storage is allocated from heappool 2 and consists of a very
large number of small (x38) byte allocations.
The memory leak can occur when using MQPUT1 with
    confidentiality policies.

    ****************************************************************
When protecting messages put using MQPUT1 to queues protected
by a Confidentiality policy, an error can result in an area of
storage being allocated during the message protection processing
    but not freed.
Over time, the accumulation of leaked storage can result in
a degradation in performance, and eventual storage exhaustion.
This Short on Storage SOS condition leads to MQI calls failing
and abends reporting the storage shortage being captured.

Problem conclusion

  • CSQ0DLCF is changed to correctly free the leaked storage when
    it is no longer required.
