  There was a logic error in the COBOL runtime routine for JSON
  PARSE that expected an opening square bracket "[" only when
  parsing JSON array which caused incorrect Run-time message
  IGZ0339W to be emitted during program execution. JSON parsing
  ended when "null" was  assigned to the root of an array.
  Assigning "null" to the root of an array implies that all
  the data-items in the array are null.

Problem conclusion

• The problem in the COBOL Runtime has been corrected. The
  problem was resolved by improving the logic used to determine
  the validity of the JSON string in JSON PARSE. This would
  ensure that "null" can be assigned to the root of an array
  and Run-time message IGZ0326I or IGZ0327I is emitted during .
  program execution.
