PH58279: SAVED STATUS FOR A CLUSTER CHANNEL RETURNS AN UNEXPECTED CHANNEL TYPE OF SENDER, INSTEAD OF THE EXPECTED CHANNEL TYPE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• User reports when using MQ panels that the SAVED STATUS (panel
  CSQOLYAA) returns an incorrect channel type for a CLUSSDR. In
  the reported case the returned type is SENDER instead.
  Development finds this is actually an issue with the value
  returned by the underlying DISPLAY CHSTATUS command that has
  been issued (not a panel issue). For instance DIS CHS(*) SAVED
  returns a similar unexpected channel type.

  The code responsible for determining the channel details relies
  on the channel definition for getting the channel type. Without
  a channel definition, it falls back on a set of conditions to
  establish the channel type. These did not handle a case where a
  channel is of type CLUSSDR resulting in the channel type being
  misreported as SDR.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been changed to use data available on the
  SYSTEM.CHANNEL.SYNCQ to correctly identify a CLUSSDR channel
  when a channel definition cannot be found.
