Error description

  • Opening of an ssh session to the accelerator from a z/OS 3.1
    LPAR is failing with message
    "FOTS1373 root@<ip address>: Permission denied
    (publickey,keyboard-interactive)".
    The underlying issue is covered by z/OS OpenSSH APAR OA65611

Local fix

  • For the time being (until availability of a fix for OA65611)
    please keep an LPAR running with z/OS maintenance level 2.x. The
    ssh command to reach the accelerator can be issued successfully
    from this LPAR.
