Error description

  • Load Balancer for IPv4 and IPv6 CBR component log file shows
    size 0 and no data is saved to log

    *                      Content-Based Router are empty, 0       *
    *                      byte size.                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The Edge Content-Based Router log files show size 0 and contain
    no data. Log files include: server.log, manager.log,
    reach.log, MetricMonitor.log, advisor logs, etc.
    Note: The uexc.log typically has a file size of 0. If the
    uexc.log is the only log file showing file size 0, this
    problem is not occurring on the system.
    

Problem conclusion

  • An exception occurred when a read was attempted before
    any data was written to the log file. When the exception
    occurred, the file is closed such that subsequent writes to
    the file fail.
    
    Code was modified to reopen a closed log file before
    attempting to write data.
    
    Fix levels:
      8.5.5.25
      9.0.5.18
