Error description
You are using the CICS Explorer version 5.5.26, or newer, with a CMCI connection and attempt to retrieve HTASK (Task History) records for a region. You receive an error message similar to the following CNX0211I Context <context>. Resource HTASK. Limited to 0 (sorted) records collected at <datetime> Your request has caused you to exceed the DEFAULTWARNCNT in the WUI server, as well as the MAXHISTRECS EYUPARM value from at least one MAS. Exceeding both these limits is resulting in a bad response from the CMCI.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When displaying a table, for example * * HTASKS, in the CICS explorer, if the * * request hits MAXHISTRECS in 1 or more * * MASes and DEFAULTWARNCNT in the WUI at * * the same time then no records are * * returned. * * CICS Explorer 5.5.26 or newer will * * display: * * "CNX0211I Context <context>. Resource * * HTASK. Limited to 0 (sorted) records * * collected at <datetime>" * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF and recycle the WUI. Recycles * * can be done in any order. * **************************************************************** When a CMCI request is made, for example by CICS Explorer, to a CICSPlex SM WUI server region, DFHWUEYU runs to process the request. If the WUI has been configured with a DEFAULTWARNCNT limit then a GET OBJECT() TEST is performed in DFHWUEYU to asses the size of the result set . DFHWUEYU, when evaluating the number of records to be returned, after a GET OBJECT() TEST in subroutine queryRecordCount, treats the WARNING/MAXRECORDS response as an error and sets the record count to zero. The CMCI resultsummary returned to the caller will indicate: api_function="GET TEST" api_response1="1037" api_response2="1369" api_response1_alt="WARNING" api_response2_alt="MAXRECORDS" recordcount="0" Records will be returned to CMCI callers who bypass the DEFAULTWARNCNT limit using the OVERRIDEWARNINGCOUNT parameter, but will be capped by the MAXRECORDS limit where appropriate.
Problem conclusion
DFHWUEYU has been modified, in the queryRecordCount subroutine, to treat WARNING the same as OK and accumulate the number of records expected correctly.
