PH56352: IZPCA CC ABEND 0002 PROGRAM CHECK 4 After REFRESH

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The IZPCA V310 Continuous Collector ABENDs with U0002 a short
  while after issuing the REFRESH command. The ABEND is Program
  Check 4  (protection) in module DRLPCOBI.

  *                      terminated abnormally.                  *
  *                      Program Check 4  (protection)           *
  *                        In module DRLPLOPC  2022.262 starting *
  *                        at 17D61FE8                           *
  *                      after a REFRESH command is executed.    *
  *                      2. The Continuous Collector hangs or    *
  *                      loops after a REFRESH command is        *
  *                      executed running in zIIP mode.          *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  On executing the REFRESH command:
  1. The BUFCHAIN storage is freed but the pointer to the freed
  storage is not cleared.
  2. The storage used by zIIP processing was not cleared.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code is corrected to:
  1. Clear the pointer to the freed BUFCHAIN storage.
  2. Clear the storage used by zIIP processing.
