Error description

  • For FL506 and higher, the user should include CREATE TABLESPACE
statement in the DDL if a table is recreated using a DROP TABLE
statement via Change management Import. If the user fails to
include the tablespace in the DDL, Admin tool should provide an
error message that the tablespace is missing.

    ****************************************************************
When using change management to import DDL that has a DROP TABLE
statement followed by a CREATE TABLE statement on
APPLCOMPAT V12R1506 or higher, Db2 Admin tool should return an
error and tell the user to include the CREATE TABLESPACE
statement for the parent table space. This requirement is
because DROP TABLE on FL 506 or higher implicitly drops the
    parent table space.

ADB8074E Parent table space @DB2IVPA.SREFGE61 not found.
    Please include CREATE TABLESPACE statement.
Table space is required to create table. Table space may be
implicitly dropped via a DROP TABLE statement and not recreated.

Problem conclusion

  • The current behavior has been addressed.
