APAR status

Error description

  • If a integer ended with . (dot) -in SQL SELECT list and WHERE
clauses, they were seen as two separate tokens thuns creating
syntax errors.

Problem summary

  • If a integer ended with . (dot) -in SQL SELECT/ INSERT/ UPDATE
fields' list and WHERE clauses, they were seen as two separate
tokens thuns creating syntax errors. Even after fixing this, a
crash happened during saving data into the repository for this
program.

Problem conclusion

  • The parser was modified to merge the 2 tokens into a real
(float) number to fulfill the syntax rules, in this context only
 -of SQL SELECT / INSERT / UPDATE fields' list and WHERE
clauses. The crash happened during saving data into DB, due to a
 memory violation which happened in the context of missing some
IMS mapping information.
