Error description

  • The wmqMessagingClient-3.0 provides applications with access
to message destinations hosted on IBM MQ through the Jakarta
Messaging 3.0 API. Initialization of the Jakarta MQ Resource
Adapter fails when used in conjunction with the
    wmqMessagingClient-3.0 feature, generating a
ClassNotFoundException. A representative callstack is shown
    below:

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The wmqMessagingClient-3.0 feature references internal MQ
classes by name. When the Jakarta version of the MQ Resource
Adapter was relased, some of the fully qualified package names
used by MQ for its internal classes had changed. Consequently
the feature attempted to load classes using the incorrect
    names resulting in a ClassNotFoundException.

Problem conclusion

  • The wmqMessagingClient-3.0 feature was modified to use the
correct fully qualified class names for the internal MQ classes.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
23.0.0.6. For more information, see 'Recommended Updates for
