PH55180: MQ NOT STARTING COMPLETELY AFTER SYSTEM IPL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A problem causes the GroupUR agent on a queue manager to loop
  if indoubt units of work exist on a stopped peer queue manager.
  This can prevent the peer queue manager from starting, cause
  high CPU usage and prevent any other GroupUR requests from
  running.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The xa_recover operation may cause the  *
  *                      GroupUR agent of a queue manager to     *
  *                      hang and prevent other QSG members from *
  *                      starting if indoubt units of work exist *
  *                      on a stopped peer in the same queue     *
  *                      sharing group.                          *
  ****************************************************************
  A control variable is not updated in one path of a loop, when
  processing the log records for an indoubt unit of work on
  an inactive peer. This occurs if the unit of work state has been
  logged multiple times since the last checkpoint.
  
  This causes high CPU usage and the ENQ on the inactive queue
  manager's BSDS (CSQJBSDS) to be held by open, preventing it from
  starting.
  

Problem conclusion

• CSQMCIG2 has been updated to correctly handle recovery of
  indoubt units of work that have been logged multiple times.
