Error description

  • Processing to perform package dependency analysis, which is used
to generate REBIND statements that may be needed, can take a
very long time. This is due to large table structures with many
dependent packages that may be processed. To avoid this, this
change adds an index to a temporary global table created and
used internally by Db2 Admin Tool.

Local fix

  • Remove REBIND from PARMS in the GEN step of the job

Processing of large table structures with many dependent
packages is impacted by a recent change to improve package
dependency analysis. This function is used to generate REBIND
statements that might be needed. This change adds an index to an
existing temporary global table to significantly improve
performance.
