  • IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v16.0.1
Only IBM-037 is displayed when adding a new dataset mapping on
the z/OS File system mapping view.

Steps to reproduce:
1- start IDz 16.0.1
2- create a z/OS connection
3- open the z/OS File system mapping view
4- right-click and select menu "Add dataset mapping"
5- select host code page other and open the list => only IBM-037
is available

  • z/OS File system mapping view host encodings only showing
IBM-037 default encoding, missing a bunch of other host
encodings.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • z/OS File system mapping view host encodings not properly
initialized due to custom host encodings preference page.
