Error description

  • Customers might like the ability to change the file permissions
    for the IBM Integration Bus rotatable log files, i.e., activity
    logs, archive statistics and resource statistics. Currently
    these are all set to the default value of 660 (rw-rw----) and
    there is no option to change these.

    This APAR introduces a new environment variable that when set,
    overrides the default value with the value indicated by the
    environment variable. For example, setting the environment
    variable as follows:

    MQSI_SET_ROTATABLELOGFILE_PERMISSIONS=0666

    will set the files with permissons rw-rw-rw as below (older logs
    have permissons rw-rw----, latest log has rw-rw-rw-):

    -rw-rw-rw- 1 OWNER GROUP 5890 Feb 10 08:18 activitylogs
    -rw-rw---- 1 OWNER GROUP 7477 Feb 9 16:06 activitylogs.1
    -rw-rw---- 1 OWNER GROUP 3593 Feb 9 16:25 activitylogs.2
    -rw-rw---- 1 OWNER GROUP 8353 Feb 9 16:41 activitylogs.3
