  • AD 6.0.2 IFix 3 upgrade from 6.0.1 ; all is on Lab environment,
not in prod.
after upgrading client observes some error that did not appeared
before in build client:"
looked at one of the build client error specified by our client
- we see OPTIMIZE directive within a query is seen as ERROR

Problem summary

  • IBM AD Cobol compiler throws a syntax error when encountering
certain built-in SQL/XML functions or SQL UPDATE statement that
use double quotes when specifying the table.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed by covering these particular scenarios in the AD Cobol
compiler.
