    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Runtime S0C4 abend.                     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the IBM-provided PTF.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    When the DLL option is in effect, the compiler was not properly
    identifying the CALL statement with function-pointer target as a
    static call even when the CALL/SET statements were under the
    scope of a CALLINTERFACE STATIC directive.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was updated to ensure that when the DLL option is
    in effect, the CALLINTERFACE STATIC directive properly overrides
    the DLL option for CALL statements with a function pointer
    target.
