APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using an IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) Map that has a
PUT() rule on an output card that uses the Memory Link (MLINK)
adapter, but the Launcher system does not have a corresponding
watch for the same leaving the PUT() with nowhere to place
the data, causing the PUT() to hang the map, and then the
Launcher crashes.

  • Users Affected:
IBM Transformation Extender users using the memory link adapter.

Problem Description:
A PUT() function to the MLINK (Memory Link) adapter without any
Memory Link Adapter watch defined to receive the output will
crash the Launcher.

Platforms Affected:
All

Problem conclusion

  • Resolved Launcher crash when system that PUTs to Memory Link
Adapter has no Memory Link Adapter watch.

Applies to:
10.1.1.1, 10.1.2.0

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
