PH51895: COMPARE PRE VERSION 12 (FL500) OBJECTS - GEN DDL AGAINST THE CATALOG - GIVING ALTERS FOR SECQTY IN INDEXES.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer did a DDL with GEN on a PRE VERSION 12 FL500 tablespace
  and underlying OBJECTS.
  They then used that ddl as source and did a compare against the
  CATALOG, which generated unnecessary alters on tablespaces and
  indexes.
  After applying APAR number PH49601, the process worked for all
  the fields, except the SECQTYI in SYSINDEXES.

  to version 12 and comparing the resulting DDL against the
  catalog, Object Compare reports that the INDEX SECQTY attribute
  changed from NULL to <VALUE> when no change exists.

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
  
  Compare will now properly consider the SECQTY of the
  migrated objects when determining the change.
