    *                      from V5.4 up to V5.6. Although          *
    * deprecated it can be set and impacts *

    ****************************************************************
    At CICS TS V5.4 it was decided to deprecate the ENCRYPTION
    CICS system initialization parameter.
    It was removed from the list of visible parameters in the WUI
    and Explorer (CPSM SYSPARM resource table).
    Although deprecated, it can be set and impacts the MINTLSLEVEL
    CICS system initialization parameter.

    It will now be displayed on WUI and CICS explorer System
    parameters (SYSPARM) displays.

Problem conclusion

  • Macro EYUQ0179 macro has been updated to display the ENCRYPTION
    parameter, if set, for CICS Transaction Server releases V5.4
    through V5.6 and the relevant EYUTNAGx tables regenerated.
    The CICS ENCRYPTION system initialization parameter is not
    valid from CICS TS V6.1 onward.
