PH51691: MISSING OR TRUNCATED DATA IN NATIVE MODE INVOLVING CCSID CONVERSION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Incorrect data can be unloaded if the following conditions are
  fulfilled:
  - the unload is a logical unload processed in native mode
  - the unloaded table has contiguous not nullable fixed char
  columns that must be unloaded in contiguous output fields
  (without any separator or delimiter as requested for a delimited
  format)
  - the unload requires CCSID conversion
  - the content of the not nullable contiguous columns converted
  to the output CCSID is shorter than the source content
  - the Optimization of CCSID conversions is not disabled
  (FIX(OPTCNV) is not specified for ULOPTNS)
  
  The corruption of data affects the groups of contiguous not
  nullable fix char columns. The last column of such a group is
  either not unloaded or truncated.
  

Local fix

• Disable the Db2 HPU optimizations:
  - either at the step level by specifying the OPTIM_LEVEL 0
  option from the GLOBAL option block
  - or for any step by specifying FIX(OPTCNV) in the value for the
  VUU030/ULOPTNS parmlib parameter
