PH51372: FOR DB2 12 FL505 AND NEWER, DB2 ADMIN TOOL SUPPORT IS MISSING FOR FREE PACKAGE PLANMGMTSCOPE(PHASEOUT)

Error description

• When trying to generate a FREE PACKAGE PLANMGMTSCOPE(PHASEOUT)
  Db2 Admin tool does not accept the syntax as it just changes
  PHASEOUT to PREVIOUS. This enhancement to FREE PACKAGE has been
  available in DB2 v12 in PH33295 since March 2021. This APAR will
   add support for the PHASEOUT option for parameter
  PLANMGMTSCOPE.

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Administration Tool for z/OS    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The user wants to use                   *
  *                      PLANMGMTSCOPE(PHASEOUT) for the FREE    *
  *                      PACKAGE command on panel ADB21KF.       *
  *                      However, that option is not available,  *
  *                      even though the user is on a Db2        *
  *                      release greater than Db2 12 FL505,      *
  *                      which supports this new option.         *

  The user wants to use option PHASEOUT for PLANMGMTSCOPE, which
  is available on Db2 12 FL505, but does not see that option on
  the panel. When they tried to enter it, the panel changed it to
  PREVIOUS.
  Also, if the user tries FREE PACKAGE with INVALIDONLY(YES) and
  PLANMGMTSCOPE(ALL), which are incompatible options, the panel
  receives an error, because the error message it is trying to use
  does not exist.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problems have been resolved. New message ADB825E will be
  issued when the user tries FREE PACKAGE with INVALIDONLY(YES)
  and PLANMGMTSCOPE(ALL), as they cannot be issued together.
