Error description
Compare results in an unnecessary second REORG for the same tablespace.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Administration Tool for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When Object Compare generates an ALTER * * TABLESPACE statement that results in * * a pending status and an ALTER TABLE * * statement to add a new column, a * * duplicate REORG utility statement might * * be generated when only one is needed. * **************************************************************** If an ALTER TABLE statement that adds a new column is generated before ALTER TABLESPACE statements, the REORG operation that resolves the pending status for the table space also resolves the new column. Therefore, a REORG operation at the end of processing is not needed.
Problem conclusion
The problem has been resolved.
