PH51097: SHARE EMAIL DIALOG SHOULD NOT AUTOMATICALLY GRAB PHONE NUMBER FROM CACHE

Error description

  • When sharing with email, enter email address in the TO field
    will automatically copy phone number to "Search Cognos
    Analytics" field . See screenshot.
    
    Environment: 11.2.1-2109201926
    Expected Behaviour:
    When enter an email by selecting email cache should not
    automatically populate phone number/mobile number to Subject
    field.
    Actual behaviour:
    When enter an email by selecting email cache automatically
    populate phone number / mobile number to Subject field.
    
    Test case:
    ? Open any Data Module.
    ? Click share icon, select share with email.
    ? Click the To field, select options from the field (ie: from
    the cache)
    ? Observe the "Search Cognos Analytics" field is populated with
    the phone number.
    Notes: Works fine for report and dashboard
    
    Additionaly in case: TS011257344
    
    The issue happens when customer is trying to add email address
    to a job to send the report output as an email. This issue only
    happens when using Microsoft Edge browser. Customer confirmed
    the issue doesn't happen when Customer disable the Save and fill
    basic info in Edge settings.
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    - Access cognos using Microsoft Edge
    - Create a new job
    - Choose delivery method as an email and click edit details
    - Once you write email or anything else which was saved on Edge
    it will be auto filled in the subject area as well.

Local fix

  •  issue doesn't happen when Customer disable the Save and fill
    basic info in Edge settings.
