Error description

  • Acceleration of a table is not restored after the table space is
    converted from a segmented table space to a PBG table space.

    The following message can be found in the job log.

    ADB5031W The following list of < x > table(s) were not enabled
    for acceleration on the accelerator < accelerator name > prior
    to the recreate operation.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When altering an accelerated table, the *
    * table might not retain the original *
    * replication and acceleration status *
    * after the table space is converted from *
    *                      a segmented table space to a            *
    *                      partition-by-growth (PBG) table space.  *
    ****************************************************************
    Setting the common options 'restore replication of tables' and
    'restore acceleration of tables' to YES (on panel ADB2PCO) might
    not retain the original acceleration and replication status.
    After a table space that contains an accelerated table is
    altered, the ADMIN ACCELERATOR RECREATE TABLES statement
    retrieves table information to restore the table's acceleration
    and replication status. If an alter operation that converts a
    segmented table space to a PBG table space changes the
    acceleration or replication status of the table, its
    acceleration and replication status might be not restored.

    This APAR introduces a new ADMIN ACCELERATOR GET TABLE INFO
    statement that is issued before the conversion of the table
    space. This statement retrieves accelerated table information
    that is used to restore its acceleration and replication status.
