Error description

  • On panel ADB21KSE, when a user tries to execute the EXPLAIN
command, an ending quote is misplaced on the next line of output
 instead of immediately after. Changes that will be made will be
 to change the formatting of the SQL output so the ending
quotation will be in the correct spot and result in no error.

*                      ADB21K introduces incorrect formatting  *
*                      that causes the EXPLAIN command to fail *
*                      in the subsequent edit session.         *
****************************************************************
When EXPLAIN is entered on the command line of edit session
panel ADB21KSE 'Extracted SQL', the following error message
might occur:

"ADB534E The selected SQL statement cannot be performed
dynamically."

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem has been resolved where the EXPLAIN command will
successfully display the result set table display panel ADB2EL
'<userid>.PLAN_TABLE' if rows exist.
