Error description

  • An EXEC CICS QUERY SECURITY USERID command passed a userid of
    x'4040404040404040' - Eight spaces/blanks.  This command can
    cause an overlay of security domain directory blocks.  Later
    resource checks or attempts to delete the user associated with
    the overlaid directory block will unexpectedly fail.  Messages
    DFHXS0001 or DFHXS0002 may be issued along with system dumps.

    An EXEC CICS QUERY SECURITY USERID command passed a userid of
    X'4040404040404040' - eight spaces/blanks. This command may
    cause an overlay of security domain directory blocks. Later when
    resource checks or attempts to delete the user associated with
    the overlaid directory block, it will unexpectedly fail.
    CICS system abend code DFHXS0001 or DFHXS0002 may be issued
    along with system dumps.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed to return USERIDERR to the application and
    not overlay storage when EXEC CICS QUERY SECURITY USERID command
    passed a blank userid.
