• This APAR includes cumulative maintenance of Tools Base V1.6

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM IMS Tools Base for z/OS     *
  *                 Version 1 Release 6 (FMID: HAHN160) who use  *
  *                 the Policy Services.                         *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Policy Services cumulative maintenance  *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR and      *
  *                 restart the Autonomics Director server.      *
  ****************************************************************
  Following issues are resolved.
  1.BSNGDG in SHKTSAMP is failed with RC=12.
  2.The descriptions of DB_BYTES_UNIDENTIFIED and
  DB_NUM_UNIDENTIFIED in Data Dictionary are not correct.
  3.It fails with BSN1503E to create new maintenance environment.
  4.PSS issues ENQ/DEQ with QNAME and RNAME that cannot be
  determined.
  5.ABEND S0C4 occurs in Policy Services initialization process
  when starting the Autonomics Director server, if the max number
  of internal RECON ID is not correct.
  6.ABEND S0C4 occurs in BSNASM00 after BSN1637E message.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following Policy Services modules have been changed to fix
  the above problems:
  - BSNASM00, BSNDDI00, BSNDDO00, BSNPESL0, BSNWRECN
  The sample BSNGDG has been changed to work well.
