Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CMAS region shows error message * * EYUTS0062E <applid> Topology ResMap * * Hardening long-running task error. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF which resolves * * this APAR, all CMAS regions should be * * restarted. The restarts may occur in any * * order. * **************************************************************** The topology services resource map hardening long running task, periodically hardens topology resource maps to the EYUDREP data set for each region in the CICSplex. These maps are stored across records in the data repository, with a key combining the resource type, region and a sequence number. If the data repository contains existing records, these are updated. However if there is a gap in the sequence numbers for a record type, XCRS which handles the storing records to the data repository incorrectly calls the add function,XDAD, rather than update, XDUP for the later existing records. This results in XDAD failing with status XDAD_RECORD_EXISTS, as a record with the same key already exists. This results in a exception, causing the LRT error reported by message EYUTS0062E.
Problem conclusion
Logic in XCRS has been corrected, to allow the store to data repository to handle the case where the sequence numbers, used for the record keys are not sequential.
